Size Inclusive Reformer: Teaching Skills & Cueing

4-Hour Continuing Professional Development

Feb 27th 9.15 - 1.15 95euro

BOOK

This CPD is for Pilates teachers who want to move beyond “one-size-fits-all” reformer teaching and build genuine confidence working with bodies of all sizes.

Size inclusion is not a niche speciality — it’s a core teaching skill. In this 4-hour, highly practical training, you’ll learn how to adapt reformer exercises, set-ups, and cueing in ways that maintain challenge, respect client autonomy, and remove weight stigma from your teaching.

We’ll focus on what actually changes when teaching clients in larger bodies — and what doesn’t.

This is not about simplifying exercises or avoiding intensity. It’s about offering choice, clarity, and intelligent load so every client can access the work safely and powerfully.

What we’ll cover:

  • Size-inclusive reformer set-ups and equipment choices

  • Teaching strategies for common comfort and access challenges

  • Adaptations that preserve strength, flow, and progression

  • Inclusive, non-stigmatising cueing (and what to stop saying)

  • Teaching without centring weight or aesthetics.

  • Creating reformer classes that feel welcoming without singling anyone out

You’ll spend time moving, teaching, observing, and discussing real-life teaching scenarios — with plenty of space to ask questions and reflect on your own habits as a teacher in a judgment-free space.

This CPD is ideal for teachers who:

  • Want to teach reformer with more confidence and nuance

  • Feel unsure how to adapt without “watering things down”

  • Want practical tools rather than theory-only inclusion talk

  • Care about creating safer, more respectful movement space

You’ll leave with practical skills, inclusive language, and a clearer framework for teaching reformer in bodies of all sizes.
